One of the things I’ve always appreciated about Andrew is how well he brings ideas together into something that makes sense and actually resonates with a target audience. He reads widely and has a skill for spotting trends or themes. But it’s not just about content – he gives a lot of thought to how things are structured, how they flow, and what kind of experience the audience will have. It’s a really thoughtful and creative process, and something he does very well.
I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Andrew, in his capacity as the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) WA’s Program Manager, for over three years on events and conference planning. My experience working with him and the IPAA WA team has consistently resulted in successful conferences that received positive feedback from attendees. This is largely due to Andrew’s ability to understand and tailor content to the audience’s needs and interests.
Andrew has an exceptional talent for dissecting conference programming by looking at the bigger picture—considering the flow of the day, speaker line-ups, and session styles. He intuitively knows what keeps audience members engaged and designs programs that take them on a meaningful journey. I would describe Andrew’s approach to planning as methodical and his vision for events as one that guides the audience through a compelling narrative.
